INTRODUCTION

Artstor logo

ARTstor is a nonprofit digital library of more than one million images in the arts, architecture, humanities, and social sciences with a suite of software tools to view, present, and manage images for research and teaching. The collections feature contributions from outstanding museums, photographers, libraries, scholars, photo archives, and artists and artists' estates.

The complete collection is available from ARTstor or login from the Healey Library website. You will not have full access from www.artstor.org unless you are a registered user.

TYPES OF USERS

Unregistered users can search the whole database, view and print images in public folders.

Registered users have access to all of the above plus they can download images, create image folders, add personal notes to images, export image folders into PowerPoint, and view password protected folders. These users can also download the Offline Image Viewer (OIV). Registered users can access ARTstor remotely for up to 120 days at a time without authenticating through the library.

Registered users with instructors privileges have options for sharing collections with students. They can create password-protected folders, student work folders, write comments and add personal collections.
