The Ross Center offers a document converter tool called SensusAccess.

It is a self-service solution that automates the conversion of webpages and documents into a range of alternative formats, including Braille, mp3, and ebooks for the visually and reading impaired. Supported file types are .doc, .docx, .pdf, .ppt, .pptx, .txt, .xml, .html, .htm, .rtf, .epub, .mobi, .tiff, .tif, .gif, .jpg, .bmp, .pcx, .dcx, .j2k, .jp2, .jpx, .djv and .asc

This service requires a UMass Boston email address. There are detailed directions on how to use SensusAccess at the Ross Center Accommodations Page.

If you need help with SensusAccess or have questions, please contact rossaltformat@umb.edu or contact a Ross Center staff person by phone at 617-287-7430.
