Requesting Loans

Loan (Book, CD, DVD, thesis, etc. - anything that can be mailed to us physically)

Before submitting an ILL request, check UMBrella to see if we own a copy of the item you are looking for.

InterLibrary loan will not order titles that are currently placed on reserve at Healey Library.

Strategies for Affordable Textbooks:

NOTE: Please be aware that current textbooks, and popular literature,  are typically difficult to borrow, and that your request may be canceled if we request from several owning libraries without success.

If the Healey copy of an item is on loan you may place an ILL request:

  • Log in to ILLiad and choose the "Loan" option from the menu on the left
  • Provide as complete a citation as possible. Although only title, author, and "not wanted by" date are required, providing a publisher date/location and ISBN number are often very helpful to ILL staff, especially if you are looking to obtain a certain volume or year of an item.
