    Provides information on world-wide affairs covering political and economic information in over 250 countries and territories. The Country Statistics section for most countries includes links to the country's official government sources for economic and other statistics.
    All countries, and the majority of dependent territories, have the following components:
        * A Profile that includes a detailed descriptive and analytical account of recent political and economic affairs
        * A Statistical Survey, subdivided by subject

    Mergent contains country statistical profiles, which you can access by selecting the country's name from the Country Profile pull-down menu in the lower right of the page.
