Gay Community News. Within one year of its founding in 1973, Gay Community News moved to offices at 22 Bromfield Street. It was published by Bromfield Street Education Foundation. It grew quickly and shifted from a small staff and volunteer collective in 1975 into a national publication within three years. It united local and regional organizations into a national movement for gay liberation. It had a broad political agenda as well, which involved in antiracism, nuclear disarmament, and anti-imperialist politics. The newspaper ended publication in 1999.
