Types of Plagiarism

It is considered plagiarism to 

  • Copy sentences and paste them into your paper without attribution.
  • Use an idea that is not your own without attribution. 
  • Use incorrect citations.
  • Submit a paper for yourself that was written by someone else.
  • Submit the same paper for more than one class.

The University's Student Code of Conduct defines different types of plagiarism as well as other violations of academic honesty.
