Early Childhood Assessment Collection Test Use Policy
All Early Childhood Assessment (test) materials are located in the locked Curriculum Resource Center (CRC) office on the fourth floor of Healey Library. This collection contains about 50 different sets of assessment (test) materials for young children. Here is a PDF list of the tests we own.
Eligible users:
Test access at Healey Library is restricted; tests may be viewed by eligible users only.
Students: An eligible user is a UMass Boston undergraduate or graduate student who is participating in a UMass Boston assessment or assessment-related class (education, counseling, or psychology).
Faculty: UMass Boston faculty are also eligible users. With advance notice (via email to library.reference@umb.edu) tests (assessment kits) can be checked out to faculty members for three days for in-class demonstrations. Faculty can also state in their email that they'd like to book Healey Library’s CALLI classroom (H04-015) for this purpose. The necessary test(s) will be retrieved and brought to the room.
Restrictions on use:
All eligible users must fill out and sign a Healey Library CRC Test Use Request Form before viewing a test. The CRC Librarian will email you within two business days to make an appointment to view the test(s) you have requested.
Tests are to be viewed for evaluation and study purposes only. No one may administer a test from our collection.
Licensing and copyright policies dictate that no portion of any test, or its accompanying materials, may be reproduced in any format, digitally or otherwise (photocopying, scanning, photographing), for any purpose, without the prior, written permission of the copyright holder (test publisher).
All materials must be used ethically and for the sole purposes of teaching, learning, and scholarship within an educational environment.
Tests may be viewed in the office at H04-011 for a maximum of two hours by appointment on business days (Monday – Friday) between 9 AM – 5 PM (exceptions can be made for faculty).
