Gay Community News. Founded in 1973, Gay Community News grew quickly, shifting from a small staff and volunteer collective in 
1975 into a national publication within three years. It united local and regional organizations into a national movement for gay liberation. It had a broad political agenda as well, involving in antiracism, nuclear disarmament, and anti-imperialist politics. The newspaper ended publication in 1999.

The History Project (THP) is New England’s largest and most venerable archives of LGBTQ-related materials. THP maintains one of the largest independent LGBTQ archives in the nation, which includes more than 150 collections from organizations and individuals encompassing more than one million documents.
