Full-text electronic books can be found by searching UMBrella. These collections are recommended:

Healey Library has an extensive collection of books about music, scores of musical compositions, and some recordings of musical performances. Everything in Healey Library's collection can be found by searching UMBrella. Music books have call numbers starting with the letter M. Books about music education have call numbers starting with MT.

Tips for Using UMBrella

• To find books about a composer, conductor, musician, etc.
  Try a "Subject" search using the person's name, last name first (e.g. "Glass, Philip").

• To find books by a composer, conductor, musician, etc.
  Try an "Author" search using the person's name, last name first.

• To find books about an instrument
  Try a "Subject" search using the name of the instrument.

• Use Interlibrary Loan (ILL) to borrow books currently unavailable in Healey Library's physical or online collections.
